Your vet may suggest your puppy does not go out into the world until it has completed a full course of vaccinations, but due to the time the vaccinations may start this could mean your puppy misses out on valuable socialisation and habitation experiences in the critical period up to 20 weeks of age but this period can quickly close in some pups from 14 weeks so socialisation and habituation should start as early as possible.
With this is mind we have done our research and our policy on puppies attending training classes Is that they do not need to have started or have started but not completed a vaccination course. So they can attend and there should be no cause for concern as the class is a controlled environment and the pups will be roughly the same age at various stages in their own vaccination course.
But of course the final decision on this is of course always left with puppy owners.
Getting too and from classes
With regard to getting too and from classes you do not need to walk your pup on a lead to the park centre you can carry it.
Walking on lead is when they could come into contact with infections or dogs that have not been vaccinated and this is when you should take more care.
Carrying your puppy is something you can do as part of your daily socialisation and habituation for your puppy, carrying them on walks and to various locations will mean they are already used to being out and about when you come to start walking them on leads in these same locations.
I have used a rucksack on my front to do this with my pups as they are large breed dogs and some people use pet carriers for smaller breed dogs.
